SEO Search Strategist

About the Role

Mod Op is looking for a Search Strategist to join our growing Search Experience Team, who is an experienced SEO professional who thrives at the intersection of data, creativity, and AI-powered innovation. Someone who is detailed oriented.

In this role, you’ll lead scalable SEO strategies across a broad portfolio of client websites, optimizing both today’s search engines and tomorrow’s LLM-driven ecosystems.

From Core Web Vitals to generative search readiness (Google SGE, Bing Copilot, and beyond), you'll own high-impact initiatives that drive visibility, performance, and long-term discoverability. This is more than SEO, it's redefining how search works in the AI era.

What You’ll Do

• Lead LLM-ready SEO strategies, bridging traditional and generative search
• Conduct keyword / topic research with entity optimization and semantic structure in mind
• Run technical audits (crawlability, indexing, CWV, structured data) with AI-first frameworks
• Own local SEO execution : GMB optimization, citation building, NAP consistency
• Manage off-page SEO efforts : link-building campaigns, backlink analysis, digital PR
• Collaborate with dev, UX, content, and analytics teams to implement SEO best practices.
• Analyze and create a search performance report.
• Leverage AI tools to automate tasks : new business initiatives, content prompting, schema generation, performance forecasting.
• Participate in CRO and A / B testing to improve site experience and conversion.
• Stay ahead of search algorithm updates and evolving search experience platforms
